Smaller than had been hoped, even with the incoming tide. I went out around 6:00, after the rental-board crowd had gone in. Still the usual menagerie out there, but I had fun.

Poor because, well, it was poor. Plus because I got a few mush burgers and got my fat a$$ back in the water. It had been almost a month!

Epic, consistent, long fast glassy lefts and rights, but soooo crowded. Cleaned up nicely after yesterdays victory at sea, but with that brought a lot of debris in the water. We all had fun, as did the 'mellow locals' too.

best time i've had surfing there. fun lefts that turned into rights. battling the high to low mix was still tons o fun.

Great day out at Bolinas. Sunny, clean, fairly consistent, organized and not as packed as you would have guessed. Ankles were getting shacked - even some knees. Mostly long boarders, but even the occasional short boarder on a fish got a ride. Great times out there, given the relative slop found elsewhere...

Caught some waves, not sure it was worth the driving, for anyone looking at the bouys and wondering "what if..." Curiousity got the better of me today. Beautiful morning though.

Regardless of the conditions, a beautiful morning at the Bo. Small ankle to knee slappers on the left, with a few long rights all the way into the channel.

Nice to be out there again : - )

Great day to be in the water. The rights at the Channel were fun til the tide dropped. Super crowded on the lefts.

head + fun very packed but better than taking freight trains on the head at my normal spot

chest high, mostly closing out after about 20 yards, ten thousand people. blech. others may disagree, and maybe it'll get better with more swell (sets definitely getting bigger) and tide. but by then there will be twenty thousand people.

Last session of 2011, and what a day! Glassy, and slight off shore breezes with 4' to 6' walls all over the place. Long, long rides where I was, and plenty to go around with the crowd that showed up. But damn it's cold getting into that wetsuit. Not really as cold as when I left town this morning though with frost all over everything. The Bo' was pumping, and hopefully is a sign of more to come.

Now this old body will settle in at home for the evening with some home made turkey soup, followed by some Geritol and pain pills ; - )

Stinson gets no love. 75% close outs, but also got barreled. fun waves and nobody ever gives it a chance. Wish more people were out so I don't feel like shark bait.

Did I say soft? Yesterday I posted a report describing the conditions at OB as "soft"; today that word was redefined for me at Bolinas. On the plus, the sun was out, conditions were uber-clean, and there seemed to be plenty to go around.
