Did the post dawn patrol today at the Bo' and what fun we had in the water. Not to crowded, and plenty of knee slappers, with some occasional waist high sets that peeled all the way into either the channel or the reform depending on where you were at. Water's still not too cold, but damn, getting out of that wet wetsuit and taking a nice warm rinse is priceless.

Still plenty of those damn cruiser SUP's trying to take all the waves on the right, but sometimes you just need to snake them out of the way on the inside. Ha Ha!

Bolinas was very nice this morning. Median age in the water was 60, median vibe was "stoked". Lots of consistent waist-high sets coming through and a few old guys who really knew how to use them. Love that early Sunday crowd. I think I made a new friend or two.

waist to occasional chest high. i say fair plus because when i got there.....well, the place was completely empty. perfect. by the time i paddled out there were three of us for the next 2.5 hours. fun lefts that eventually got shut down by tide pulling out. beautiful day.

First 'weekend' out in a while, and what a different crowd, but still pretty mellow for the Bo'. WH to CH on the right with plenty of waves and long reforms on the inside making for some fast rides. Parking always an issue here, but pulled up just in time as someone was leaving. And Brrrr!

Tracey, there's always Women surfing here at any given time. Nobody gives them any "fucking" shit either. Although there are many a Male who still have this elitist attitude that Women should not be surfing, of which I say: What a pathetic attitude to have, no wonder you're alone, and will stay that way for a very long time.

The conditions 'were' sunny with slight off shore breezes holding up some fast knee high lefts. Water and air temps made for a most enjoyable day at the Bo'. Not crowded, and the vibe as usual was friendly in the water. I sure do like this little village tucked away as it is.

Couldn't figure out what his guy was trying to accomplish. A new side slip take off? BTW, this photo was not taken today, left the camera home?

One word, Junk! But nice to be back at the beach. Tide was moving out so fast on the left that it was destroying what waves were coming through, even though they were knee high and crumbling. To the right was flat as an old girl friend of mine in high school, but her personality made up for it as did a day at the Bo'.

Water's still a bit warmish, 55, so no need yet for the gloves and hoods.

Dribbly, crappy, knee-high, semi-blown. In addition to the 20 or so dudes you see killing it in this picture, another 20 were running down Brighton Avenue to get there.

I'm glad I wasn't there to surf today.

not feeling manly enough for the Beach, figured Bolinas would have some chest-high rollers for long-board fun. not really. beautiful sunshine, glassy conditions and weak-ass waves, a little (not much) cluttered with SUP-people. still. got a few on a day when "good to be alive" was stamped on everybody and everything.

best fun of the trip was tossing the Audi through the turns on Mt. Tam at illegal speeds powered by Thin Lizzy "Live and Dangerous" (first three tracks on side three - back when it had sides).

Surfed the channel from 11-12:30 basically the complete opposite of the 2 Mile report. Small, sad, and not worth the drive there. Lots of people in the water fighting for the occasional 3 foot close out. Checked the patch on my way out and it didn't seem much better besides the fact that it was less crowded.

A 'Swell' day at the Bo'. Knee to chest high with occasional head high lefts in the channel. Patch was consistent, but crumbling and best suited for the SUP'ers and logs. Sun was peaking in-n-out of the fog bank along the beach, ever so slight side breeze, and gently warm temps for the soul. All in all, a beautiful day to be at the beach.

Sunny day. Nice waist high peelers out in the channel with rides all the way to the beach. Almost no one out.
Love the Bo. Locked my keys in the car - dammit. But such a sweet spot to wait for the AAA.

Interesting how bo is the only marin spot listed. This spot had slightly overhead sets that had fun shoulders which went all the way to the beach. Was mush until the tide switched at around 11, and by 12 it had glassed over.
