im reportin' cause we drove all the way up there and back for some pretty meh surf. i cannot recommend. but such weather! those folks sure have got it nice. too bad about the waves tho.

Bolinas is nice. Mellow, clean waves in the chest-head range. I got long head-high rights around 7.30-8.30 this morning, but then it got junked up w/ high tide. There were plenty of zippy lefts in the lefty area. Stuck around 'til noon, but it was best at dawn.

It was gorgeous sunny day, too.

Caught the late-afternoon shift with T. Strong winds were already mixing things up as we started at the patch. The wind propped up a big bowly wave for some extra face-time. Plenty of fun long cross-steppy rights. Moved to the channel and found a bigger, speedier, hollower wave - very good surfers all over that thing. Plenty of wave-sharing and hoots with the lineup tho. Very good vibes.

Said farewell to the beach as more courduroy lined up. Could have been gooder than good with less wind; holy moly if the spot caught a few windless hours, that bobo magic would be in full-force.

Some nice waves today in both spots - long longboardy rights to the north and some steep lefts on the south side when the tide was going out. It was getting better when we left - glassy and waist to shoulder high, only rubber arms and a hungry copilot got me out.

DA WAVES BOSS, DA WAVES!

Fun, warm, and plenty of waves to go around for everybody today. Chest to shoulder high outside and a nice fast reform on the inside made for a great day. Although the SUP's are becoming some what of a nuisance at times. Several of them outside at the P####, and a few unintentionally(?) running over people. No "I'm sorry" or anything, just that dumb deer in the headlights stare. A few guys did set them straight though, and it was then they left without a confrontation.

I wandered up to Marin this morning, and played in glassy wavelets. Waves were small, but there were lots of peeling thigh-high ones.

Great for sailing, and maybe water skiing in the Lagoon. No shark sightings today, but did talk with several locals who stated that the past several reports have been bogus, and were most likely seals. Some people get too excited when they see marine life jump out of the water and think the worst like Great Whitey. :o

BTW, went out in my 3/2 for a paddle-about. Water is warm.

Poor+ from 7.30-9.30 this morning. Glassy, waist-high, infrequent.

Lots of waves on tap. Mostly waist high, some shoulder high. I got 36 between 8:30 and 12:30. The wind was picking up when I left.

Arrived at the Bo about 2 pm. Very nice day, slight breeze, and mild water temp with surf running in the 2' to occasional 4' range. Beach was comfortable without too many people there. Surfed the #####, first pic, as there were fewer out there. Long waits, but worth it, second pic.

A startling encounter earlier with a small shark sighting where I surfed, but it was said by a local that it was not a predator, and nobody got out.

Shared some glassy ankle-biters @ MCBL with a bunch of stoked folks under a foggy sky. Yay!
