Smhm - don't bother with the jetty today...

Pretty flat. Saw the surf school unloading their boards.

Nice day in Half Moon Bay, and the sun came out too.

Evening surf check... Checked a couple spots and the surf was non-existent. Maybe 1-2 feet but wind destroyed it. The jetty was very clean but basically a lake. Didn't bother to try; at least I don't have to wash my wetsuit in the dark tonight...

Went out around noon, found some 1-3 foot waves that were mostly short-period lumpy and junky but occasionally good for a short ride, so poor+. The wind wasn't too bad and the water got almost glassy for minutes at a time. Saw dolphins *and* seals, oh my.

South of the jetty this evening, 2-3 feet and clean. A little mushy so you had to be in the right spot, but there were shoulders to cry on out there. I, of course, managed to get caught inside and got sent to the beach by Mommy Nature.

The Jetty was going off from 3-4'ish pm while I was there. Probably about 20+ people in the water, lots of solid rights (a few overhead+) and I saw a few guys even get tucked in some barrels.

10 guys in the water, full parking lot, but not a lot of action here. Waist-to-shoulder high floppy peaks. Maybe it'll work better after the tide bottoms out?

There's definitely potential. Just before I hit send, there was a line of nice barrels that rolled right along the entire length of the jetty. Neat to see, but is that ridable (will it blend)?

Half moon bay and Montara are both showing a bit of the SW swell, but neither is working nearly as well as ocean beach. Both are really weak and waist high ish.

Some stuff came through tonight if you were at the right south-facing spot. It came in spurts and the big bounce was in effect (you know what I'm talking about) but every now and then a real ripper came in. Too bad there were a ton of guys better than me perched on the take-off. I would've taken pictures but it was dark by the time I came in :)

Tried something new, hit up a curiously OB-like spot in HMB and conditions weren't all that bad, considering. Waist-chest high, light wind, decent shape sometimes, but I went out at high tide and apparently that's totally not the right time so there were a lot of bumps and lumps and chunks in the water. Saw some pretty good rides out there.

The jetty was much cleaner than Linda Mar this morning. Really nice, but infrequent sets rolled in with the rising tide. Eventually the sun even made it through the haze. Coastside is looking at a beautiful day.
