Proudly overcrowded SMHM this AM with @lkilpatrick. We increased surfers in the knee-high waves by 100%. Fun, sun, short rides. Yay :)

double digit side/on shore winds. weekend crowds. slow recovery from low low tide. you make the call.

glass half empty: fast current, shifty peaks and strong winds mean its harder to get in position for a decent wave, and as there are a few experienced surfers in the water, their is competition for each wave even if you are in position. glass half full: strong wind is grooming it up and creating a few tubes, there is solid swell in the water, the rising tide is doing good things, the sun is shining, folks were friendly, and there is a sweet and empty (!) left working down in front of the mini-cliff ~ 200 yards south of the jetty.

Picked up a little sunset session at the Jetty. Water got pretty glassy but the small wave/high tide combo made picking off waves a lot of effort for a warbly swampy reward. Friendly folks getting in some stellar rides on the set waves tho. Little more oomph or consistency and it would have ranked fair. As always, happy to be out, extra happy to sneak in a second session to round out the day.

I'd call it fair early this morning at the Jetty from 8-10. If surf reporting was relative, i'd call it good, considering LM reminded me of a shaken up can of soda...

HMB was fun, but sloppy. I was in from 3:30 to 5. Got a little crowded at the main peak so I opted for scraps and did pretty well...for awhile. I had a sweet left with two cutbacks and most everything else was drop and stall. Or, you'd drop into the wave and have this slow warbly ride complete with speedbumps. Some cats were definitely getting good rides closer to the jetty. I'm calling it fair, but that's because I haven't been in the water for a week. Good times.

Jetty | 9-11 am | CH - SH | light wind | poor - fair

Under grey skies, I surfed at the break wall with 0-3 others I was definitely the least accomplished surfer, but everyone was sharing waves and having a good time despite less than ideal conditions. Surf worthy waves came along occasionally and even with the light crowd, someone paddled for every one of 'em. The water feels much colder than it did last weekend.

Better than it looked. Very clean (no wind); small peaks; small shoulders; small closeouts. It was just me and 3 spongers from 8-9.30.

Jetty is currently dominated by poor waves and SUPers. Occasional waves are coming through, but nothing well formed. Mostly soft rollers and small closeouts, with the occasional steep closeout in the shallows and the even more occasional fun wave. Still, better than not surfing

The Jetty was Fairly fun. Chest to Head high with howling (and I do mean face burning screaming) sideshore wind. It was chaotic and pretty fun. Also pretty challenging. I had some fun drops with some decent turns and a quick kick out. When things lined up right I would see a giant pit of a barrel but I wasn't in the right place at the right time. It seemed to get better and bigger as the tide rose but I got cold and all the ripper kids came out and it got pretty crowded.
I still had a great time and I fulfilled my surfing urge for the day.

11:30-3:30 at the Jetty. Knee to Shoulder high peeling little waves. Great sunshine. A little cleaner and it would have been good. Fair+ but lots of fun and beaut weather.

Jetty is looking weak. Conditions good overhaul, just not enough swell. Some rides to be had but very short. One guy out there on a longboard, many others driving on. Checking pacifica next

South west swell making the Jetty sing like a well tuned violin. Not big, but really nice shape and peeling all the way from the outside into the beach. Low crowd, low wind and lots of sun. If you can make a sunset this is the place.
