Hardly ever surf this spot, but today, it was the right call. Clean and head high. Walked all the way down to the end to avoid the crowds. One other short boarder and myself amongst a sea of longboarders who were sitting too far out to catch anything. Good warm up for tomorrow!
Mid-day sneak-out session. Sssshhh... Don't tell. Found a small crowd doing good things with some WH peelers. Fun stuff. The onshore breeze went down a little and the swell came up a little and it wasn't always close-out city. Surprisingly ok!
Surfed the north side of the beach from 11:30 -1. Lots of heads on the water. But with 3-5ft sets coming in every 5 or so minutes it was an easy paddle out and some corners to be had. Wind was calm and the sun was out. Great way to spend a Monday.
7 - 9 am...'kooks in the mist'...glassy, zero wind, but not much push, leftover junk windswell; still a few CH shoulders made for a few runs thru the spin cycle. Overheard in the lot: '....I was just sick of the pool..'. Seen in the lineup:pelicans and cormorants galore...supposed to be fading even more tomorrow (WG, what's the deal with the MIA buoy data?), so all you deperados, go get some!

before the high tide around noon there were some wh rides to be had. it was crappy enough that it warranted going someplace else but obviously that didn't happen. better than nothing
7- 8A. Inconsistent, warbly, with occasional goodness. (The kooks apparently decided to remain behind the wheels of their cars. Let's be careful out there, people...)
It was fair and fun late afternoon to evening sesh. lined up at bathroom's, some fun rights and few long lefts beyond bathroom's. Ahhlittle crowded, but a good crowd, if you know what i mean? Inlove watching 2 tiny grommits pumping and having fun. :)
