Monterey County - other- yesterday. Went on a lil' road trip and was pleasantly surprised to find super clean shoulder high runners with an occasional, rare head high set. Some long rides and some practice-worthy closeout barrels. Not a touch of wind and the clearest water I've ever seen in the state. Surfed til' the sun set; golden and shimmering. Fun times.

beautiful FALL afternoon, sunny , windless with rising groundswell and a dropping tide, 75' degrees on the air and lot of smiles, stoked

Surfed 7-9 north of jacks house and it was really good - doh! A little disorganized swell still filling in, but lots of fun

A pleasurable time in Santa Cruz this morning. 3-4ft glassy peaks, pretty consistent. Crowded as usual, but nobody doing anything stupid. Get some!

What a day out there ! Swell of the summer has left us nice sandbars, somewhere else location was doing it's thing very nicely, decent size and good shaped wedges delivering in n out barrels for all the usual suspects. Sun was out and the air and water were warm, Surfed for 3 and a half hours , left around 12 and was still glassy and pretty fun, stoked +

Surfed east side 7-9:30am north of Jack's house. Fog so thick you could drink it! Surf was solid 3-4' with an occasional bigger set that would roll through - mostly unridden because no one could see it through the fog! I'm calling good because waves were holding up offering really long rides this morning.

For nature lovers: 1-2 seals in the water, and otters munching on fresh crab.

Made the trek south today. Started at ######. Clean with power lefts going HH to a couple feet over with occasional blood-pumper 9-10ft closeout sets. The entire lineup got cleaned up a couple times. It was good, but my bigger wave game was definitely off as I blew a takeoff or two and got caught behind sections. Moved into town and surfed 1st peak at Pleasure during the mid afternoon. Glassy and SH-HH with overhead sets. Tide was making things a bit bumpy and sectioned, but I managed to score a couple super fun long ones. Crowds were surprisingly moderate and without tension. Guess everyone down there's surfed out. We're gonna get ours up here real soon...

So glad I got up at 4 to make the drive. Surfed from 545-9 at eastside spot with 1-3' OH fairly consistent sets. No wind. Very fast and long long rides if you could maje the sections. They were no match for my 5'7 quad fish. Only downside was the whole town was on it seeing as it is the "swell of the summer" managed to snag my fair share though.

Ps 20+ sec periods make the waves do trippy things

Surfed at a super secret eastside spot south of Jack's house. 2-3' sets with 20 minutes in between. Always good to get wet. Go expecting very little and you'll have some fun.

Westside before lunch and Eastside after. Sunny n' warm. Got desperate after too long out of the water due to shit conditions up here and headed south. Lane was clean with SH - HH sets. Packed out with local domination on the outside. Definitely got burnt a couple times. One of such incident involved a set wave that I patiently and politely waited nearly an hour for. The burner in question paddled over after (and we're talking no kick out full with on acknowledgment of the situation for the entire wave until I was left pinched behind a section way on the inside) and offered up the apology of "sorry about that, I had just been waiting for so long" (20 minutes tops). Oh, Santa Cruz. So it goes. Eastside was glassy, smaller, and equally, if not more crowded. That being said, I did manage to pick off a few fun ones at both spots and after how frustrating things have been in the city and nearby lately, it felt good.

very similar conditions than the past few days, a little bit more energy SSW , offshore winds and cloudy skies, hoping to see a bigger swell soon, semi - stoked
