low expectations were exceeded. more energy from the S than i expected. mellow but very fun , glassy with the offshore winds and fast thanks to the dropping tide, minus because could have used more size, but still very stoked.
very fun surf this morning with smal scale swell , low tide and glassy surface. wind was working perfect and could score a couple of small in n out shacks, the other 2 guys there scored some of them as well, pushing tide made things a little better between 9-11. 3 hours of surf but with long wait between sets, no complaints ,stoked
I would like to say it sucks to keep the crowds away, but that won't work because everybody's already here. Really fun out there and the waves keep getting better by the hour.
seems like the south is on the fade... but still plenty clean fun sets. almost endless summer III with the wingnut out in the lineup. conditions deteriorate the further north u go.
very fun morning in SC. better conditions than yesterday with favorable winds and more swell. went to somewhere else location and was glassy and mellow (pic1) but crowded.
drove to the next location and was plenty of waves, not all of them were workable but between closeouts a nice, hollow and glassy right made its appereance (pic2). suited up and gave it a go, with patient was able to catch lots of open shoulders on the 5ft range. N winds for offshore conditions with some spray, mostly cloudy skies early and then sunny, stoked +
overcasty and with a little texture but still lots of fun. the small scale swell has filled but the tide wasn't ideal. 3-4 ft and maybe 5ft sets with long lulls. small, hollow, semi glassy and mellow. only couple folks and lots of wildlife. best sesh of the week, fair + ? good - ? .... stoked !
WH with occasional SH stuff coming through. Crowd was friendly and small-ish... Plenty of fun loooooong rides rolling through. Worth the price of entry.
Overcast, low-ish tide, a little texture from a slight breeze.
Was a pretty low tide for a Bloomsday morning. Everything was looking pretty kelpy. Hit a few of the long kneehigh rights (long lulls, lotsa folks), then peddled over to a few fun drops on a lesser peak of the bigger break. Real fun.
Agree with reports below. Long lulls but some nice energy when the set came through. Got there early on the morning and was windless (N) with waves around 4-6 ft, racy corners and hollow shape but a little walled up where I was, no great but definitively good fun. Stoked!
