Rant - After watching so many vids of guys on junky, blown-out waves, I'm starting to think those waves are okay.

You know how half of all the videos now are of guys shralping on blown out crap that lets them launch various airs? I think watching all that stuff has influenced my view of the surfability of bad days, even though I haven't done an air in about 15 years. Now when it looks blown out and junky I'm like "hmm, looks pretty shralpable!" Strange.

I had the same feeling back when the Taylor Steele vids came out in the 90's-Momentum, Focus, ... Prior to that it seemed that most vids featured epic surf. But his vids had guys ripping and innovating in everyday CA surf which at the time was great. I like both types-exotic travel perfection and everyday waves.

@quadrafino that's funny. I came of age on surf movies like "Beyond Blazing Boards," which is still a pretty rad flick. And so yeah, seeing a more true-to-California-life version of surfing in the 90s era stuff was interesting.
