Was surfing in SC yesterday around 3pm at the point that gives pleasure and as I got out of the water the word was going around that at a near by break they had spotted a great white and a lot of seals high tailing it out of the water followed by a lot of people high tailing it out of the water as well. Don't know the validity of this but I will say that while I was in the water I saw a very big solitary dolphin swimming around and all it takes is one single person with bad eye sight and a good imagination to shit the bed.
Another great white dolphin spotted in SC

Apparently that same dolphin was up here a few days ago. http://www.sharkresearchcommittee.com/pacific_coast_shark_news.htm

What? People high tailing it out of the water at PP? Whatever the reason, and especially for an unverified shark sighting, sounds to me like the perfect time to put in...given decent surf conditions.

So, the answer to the question on everybody's mind is, "did you shit the bed?"

Too much hook on the fin. Tail perspective makes it interesting though. One of the recent findings of shark research is they are often closely associated with dolphins (i.e., in the same area at the same time). Makes sense - the food that brings in the dolphins brings in seals, sea lions, and things that munch on them.
