Given the relentless onslaught of these types of threads and less than friendly comments from some posters directed at both professional female surfers and women on this site......I now feel pretty dang bad for teasing Maria back in the day for her "there are women on this site" thread. :\

I dislike this type of content on this site. There are other places I can go to for T&A.

Having played my fair share of beach volleyball whilst living oceanfront in San Diego, it would be hard to time any tournament with the 6 days a year at OB that it would be calm enough to host it. :(

The boys are getting restless without swell...@tracey, no worries. I don't remember you being particularly vicious as women can get towards each other. If you were, I tuned it out. I have given up on the whole sexism thing. Men are different from women, and vice versa. Read the Male Brain by my colleague Louann Brizendine. I have only seen excerpts, but I think there are some gems in there.
The power differential of men and women, however, remains a huge problem worldwide.

Heh @cali, I'd mentioned I wasn't offended by the balls comments. Which I'm not, but I should have taken the overall point more seriously. I've noticed fewer and fewer girsl posting over the last few months and we're down to very few real avatars that represent their female account holders.

And @Burro, I wasn't saying YOU are perpetrating a relentless onslaught. These LOOK AT GIRL threads have come from a variety of sources. It was one thing when it was girl on wave, but this thread, the Holly Beck thread, and other have drug on and on about non-surfing junk with the primary problem being the comments, not the post. I understand why you're so sensitive burro, since some posters have been less than polite with some of your other threads, but my issue here is the larger sexist attitude that's getting beaten to death lately rather than your one post.

I don't want to call out posters by name, but there's been some graphic, harassing, and really pointless comments, especially over the last month. Many of them have been pretty anti-female.

I realize you guys are bored and all, but c'mon.
Pick up an egg, a longboard, or some foamy fish and get out there. There ARE waves. Go surf them.

As a male highly interested in the above jpgs and gifs (Kooktastic's best serving girlfriends...), I chuckle at the posting and got a rise to it. They were funny. But with that, I make the admission that males are gross. They look at your asses and tetonis and have (internal) conversations that are less than flattering (am I giving away the keys here?)
So the question becomes how internal should this kind of conversation be on this site?
Maybe a balance could be stricken. Can you gals start posting guy junk shots or something?
Gals do have a nice setup. Let's just admit it. Who wants to see guy junk shots? Not me, not the majority of the site users, but a balance may have to be stricken if these posts continue.

I'll use the example of men's/women's magazines to make this point. What's on the cover of men's magazines (FHM, Maxim)? Hot women. What's on the cover of women's magazines (Vogue, Glamour, Cosmo)? Hot women.

No one likes looking at men. The one exception is gay men. Gay men like looking at men. So, @piss-shiver, if you want someone to start posting photos of guys so you can get your stroke on, don't ask the gals to do it for you, ask the gay men. Thank you for your cooperation.

Is stokereport.com open source? A little re-branding, @burro's content, and done and done. Also, there's no fights WRT localism, localism ISN'T related to onanism.

Have you considered aggregating funny youtube videos as a section of the strokereport.com site?
