Yeah, this rant could go to rip curl but why not here, too. Everything else goes on here. Naked guy surfing, hmmm. I know this is SF but come on. What the hey. This site is like facebook anyway. For all the lovers of this contest stuff, this is what you wanted here, so this is what you get. It'll only get worse. Maybe some of these guys could be respectful but with this stuff comes a huge entourage of flotsam and jetsom. Crowds this year are 100 fold of previous years. The contest stuff only makes it worse. The waves really aren't any good anymore anyway. Good sandbars? You got to be joking. You guys don't know good sandbars. Crappy days used to be uncrowded--no more. There will be a half dozen decent days every year but surely not enough to warrant the onslaught of hipster kooks. The future here is grim. So so many clueless hodads here. Cant' wait to get home to the north shore where surfing is still surfing. And a beat down is still a beat down.

I love seeing the pro tour guys rip the hell out of our surf! You can learn a lot from watching them ride waves and paddling around in the line-up. It's a rare opportunity to learn from the worlds best in your back yard. Where's the humility in your shitty attitude?

Oh no, no more good waves, too crowded - stay home! I don't care if its a pro, their entourage (more likely), or some other douche, if they snake you or take off on you, gotta represent. That being said, there are spots in OB that attract a crowd. Looks pretty vacant on the cams right now.
