One man's struggle to transcend. This humble film is about a friend of mine named Michael and his daily ritual to find his natural self through surfing.

Am I the only person who finds the playback of vimeo stuff to be extremely glitchy? This video looks cool but it's unwatchable for me b/c of the glitchiness. I tried it with both Firefox and IE, makes no difference. I don't have this problem with youtube.

I'm the opposite, youtube freezes up, vimeo is fine. I usually let videos load all the way, then watch them.
I'm going to save this one for when I get home, I started watching it and it was compelling enough I can't just throw in another window while working. It'll get some luv later.

Having once had trouble getting out of a wetsuit, I totally empathize with his struggle.

I was reading some of the producer's comments over on Vimeo. I guess the guy kayaks the same spot where he had the accident 30 years ago that disabled him.
Intense. That is some fucking stoke right there.

I've saw this dude up at Stinson years ago. Inspirational indeed.
And more amazing the a-holes that live at Seadrift apparently give him access thru their property to get to the beach. More than can be said for the rest of us who they hassle on a public beach. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/11/27/MN0ITG4GF.DT...

Having one arm immobilized in a sling makes me empathize closely with his ingenuity in loading and unloading his kayak, pulling on his wetsuit sleeve with his mouth, and all those other daily activities easily taken for granted.
