After becoming a quadriplegic following a surfing accident over ten years ago, San Diego’s Bobby DuCharme and friends celebrated his birthday this past weekend by doing what most surfers do—he went surfing! Inspired by a spate of recent “tarp surfing” videos, Bobby and few of his bros got kegged all day in well-overhead barrels. Happy birthday Bobby!
About Bobby DuCharme:
Bobby broke his neck surfing June 1st, 1999 in San Diego, California, leaving him paralyzed from the shoulders down. With therapy, Bobby received enough movement in his right arm to learn how to edit and produce short films. Bobby’s dream was to become a professional surfer, but his injury has transformed him, and now he finds joy in helping others through his films and this organization.
