Huh? Hasn't even rained in months. This is disturbing news. What the F is causing high bacteria this time of year? I wonder if that orange foam is affecting the readings.

That's why I surfed so good tonight after work; I was clearly insane in the membrane. Fun little sunset session despite the short period, shifty, weirdness.

It rained last Thursday. Enough to rinse off the thin layer of fecal matter that covers everything in SF (5 months accumulation). Its arrival at OB is right on queue.

Beach users concerned with the potential for exposure to elevated bacteria concentrations are advised to avoid water contact recreation during and immediately after rain events.
Bacteria counts during dry weather are, with few exceptions, consistently low. Elevated counts during dry weather often have no readily apparent cause; however there is some indication that elevated counts might follow extreme high tide cycles."

I wonder if it's all the sand piles they have down at sl0at getting re-absorbed into the beach.

Saw a silly labador taking a shit in the water today! Think of all the dogs at fort funston pooping all over the place.This may be part of the problem
