The same guy who used to shape finelines out of Valsurf?
I had a buddy who rode for him awhile back
That said
Bitchen solo sesh up on the Oregon Coast on that little pulse last weekend.
Slack wind, packing left tubes by myself. Thinking that this current swell will wash out this particular stretch.
"It was 10 foot, easy!"(well maybe not quite)

Excelente! Sounds like a score, gd. Let me remind you though, this is tenfootreport.com. You needn't bother to post anything that's "not quite" that.

Thank you for adhering to our wave height requirements in the future.

Darn you are on to me
Pure swell was 3 @ 16
Which may be overhead at a deepwater break; however, not quite, 10 foot
Actually, screw it, Ima going to call it 12 feet cuz noone else was there but me to witness. Granted it looks bigger when you are essentially laying on your surfboard in the trough when a wave approaches and it looks/looms large.
An 8 foot face looks pretty big when it is on top of you.

I could go surfing tomorrow but its a 4 hr commute to the beach for me. So I tell myself its too big to surf "secrets" and will dutifully get my crowns put on and work the other half of the day rather than blow off yet another day for possible goodness so far away. Damn is surfing addicting or what. I HATE missing swells; makes me feel like I am missing out, not for snow, sleet, or driving rain.

Cant wait to see how OB handles the swell tomorrow. It will likely be 10 foot; I am calling it early(and from Oregon, mind you)

Enjoy the SF bay area. It may not be empty but at least it is accessible. If you can paddle I reckon you could get your fill no matter how congested the linup is, under 10foot, that is. At that point the waves tend to outnumber the surfers or enough surfers are simply fair weather, smaller wave, surfers as opposed to hardcore surfers. Then Mother Nature herself regulates.

Sincerely, "10ftnempty"
