Guilty. I used to wear the gloves. (Not those, but some crappy predecessor.)
As I said on Boing-Boing...when you do the turn-and-paddle-really-hard thing, they help. When you do the I-just-want-to-go-over-there thing, your arms get tired. Oh, and you look like a dork in both cases. Darkfins do seem a little less dorky... (Must...resist...surf gadgets....)
