We reviewed DXG’s 595V a while back and we were very pleased with it’s performance. The only problem we had was that even with zooming in as much as we could from shore; we were missing some of the best action up close. Fast forward to the current day and our wish has been answered…

amazon is showing around 100. Some of the reviews give me pause. Also the 10ft thing may mean it's not *that* ruggedized. I've heard some anecdotes that 10' means it'll be a door stop soon enough. My friend had something rated to that depth, and it went that way, and he didn't go 10' under, more like 3 after a bomb got him.
Also, I bet that cam WILL get away from you if you're using a tourist hand strap.
It's probably better than the Flip Video with water proof housing, but probably not by much.
It could prove more useful to get that Panasonic Lumix that's rated to 30' and can also do video. Who knows.
Hearing about the goldenhour wrist shot secure failure too in combination with that cam also was saddening.
I guess I'll have to save some money for the cannon and ikelight housing :D

I run Gizmodo and test all the
Waterproof camera myself. Dxg never made anything worth the time.
Also, +1 to lumix and pentax. I'd pay 70 for a dxg. Practically disposable
