Thank God I brought my camera out today after yesterday's smooth seas an ominous fog. I caught what might be considered the ride of the year. Happy Friday.

It'll probably be the same tomorrow. Those contest guys will probably be where its more rideable. Rest of us will get the closeouts. :(

Oh man, it was really cracking out there! Actually, there was some size at the ###### (shoulder high, occasional OH), but no one was trying to tame the madness (I don't blame them). I snapped these from the lookout instead. I can't even imagine squeezing the Saturday crowd into a smaller area...It's going to be nuts!

@whiskeylaureate: good thing you managed to keep it upright on that ride. A wipeout might've resulted in the dreaded two wave hold-down. I can't believe the whitewater didn't completely overwhelm you in the last photo. Mad skills you got there!

I wish that were me! It was a brave lady with bigger stones than I. I could only marvel at her bravery from afar...I can't wait for tomorrow.

I did once fall at LM in front of a place that sounds like #### ##### on a somewhat pointy rock that hit my left kidney (peed red for 24 hours) perfectly..
During the "hold-down" phase of that experience as a special bonus I got chance to sample the local seaweed while screaming into the foam ball.. Not so yummy that...

Fear the foam!
