Rant - Found Sponge

Well what an adventure today!
At first I was the only guy out. And I probably was....then....I spotted another soul to the North of me.
Given the direction I was going and how fast I was going I kinda knew he was running out of room so to speak, and it was the end of my session...so I paddle in.
Then, on the beach, walking towards him to commiserate...I saw what appeared to be a sponge. Looks like a good one.
So hey....you spongers....any of you guys lose a sponge?
I have it.
PS can you help me mow my lawn?
(Kinda half serious to be honest).

@piss_shiver- that would be mine. thanks for picking it up- i had already written if off. i guess it drifted south?? thought it would be north due to current. definitely some bombs coming through this morning, huh? ...any chance you'll be at the beach another morning this week? i'll trade you my thanks for the board.

A couple of goats in your yard could nub that lawn down to 1/4-inch in a few hours. They work cheap. Make sure you cover your flowers and 215 grass or they'll eat that too.

Piss, if the goat thing doesn't work out, I've got an extra push mower you can have. It's been sitting in my garage untouched for two years. Goats are waaahay more fun though. Especially the mini ones.

TT and I one time witnessed two strangers work out a goat-renting transaction at Coast Cafe in Bolinas. An overgrown lawn, IIRC, was the reason for the goat, and the person at the other table just happened to have one.

I actually bought a Pelibüey with the idea of using it as a lawnmower. We kept paying people to chop our yard, and I figured why not get a sheep to do the job, right? He was awesome. Except he did start decimating the entire yard as @danimal alluded to. Fun little guy and no maintenance at all. Was great having him until a couple jerks stole him one night from over my 10' razor wired wall. Bastards.

Yeah olestra, Chinese slimming tea, and some bad Thai on Geary will do that to you.
I'm not naming names, but a cat fight in my gut happened a while ago that was directly attributable to that establishment and cocktail.
