Rant - Functional board donations to charity for tax write off??

I was wondering if anyone knew a place that you can donate a functional board,
and get a receipt for tax write offs.

Trust me, none of you want this board.
I was cleaning out some storage and came across a 9ft soft board from our super kook days.

Hmm...how about I offer you a $30 tax rebate. In fact, I'll even give you your rebate upon receipt of the board.

I've been thinking for a bit that I'd kindof like to get some huge floaty motherb0ard to play around with on softer days (and most longboards are pretty expensive). I've also been wanting to try some surfboard trolling/fishing around OB (maybe after january so as not to tempt uncle pedro), and a softie would probably be ideal for that. Anyway, just throwing the offer out there...

whoops, i didnt see ted's post about balikbayod. i thought maybe i could contend with the valencia st salvation army, though i can't, in good conscience, vie with donating the thing to some poor kids in the philippines.

Ah, gotta get my receipt for the surfboard donation to balikbayod-thanks for the reminder!

It's a really cool little organization-definitely check it out.
