Rant - how abut a "none" tab?

Hey stoke report. You've seen me on here disagreeing with you guys a lot. My mind hasn't changed at all, but I think a reasonable thing to add to this site would be a "none" tab in the location selector for the reports. This would allow people to write a report without specifying location. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal to you but it would mean a lot to me if some of the reports started saying "none." Let 2012 be a vague stokefest!!!

The "other" option is really helpful when it comes to keeping all of the super secret spots in our super secret city of 800,000 super secret.

I just don't understand the point of a report without at least a vague location.... "none" just doesn't fit the bill. We have an "other" category. Is specifying "san mateo county - other" too specific? Come on now...Could you imagine such a weather report? "It's going to be sunny and 75 degrees 'somewhere' today... Can't tell you where, though.. Just go figure it out or ask someone in the know... Back to you". How useless is that?

it is called stoke report after all. It's all about the stoke, right? location shouldn't really matter. Besides, I wasn't proposing removing all the location tabs, although that would be sweet

I do think a "none given" or "other other" would be an acceptable option for those who would like to use it.

While "Countyname - Other" is in fact an option, for some people it implies too much. I have once or twice listed Linda Mar as my location because a certain San Mateo - Other spot was so fun and so empty I felt SMOT seemed a little too revealing.

A very vague option is fine by me as long as the other options and personal methods of self censoring are respected.

There are a lot of ways to share stoke. Mrniceguy's request may come from a place of grumpiness, but the idea itself isn't a terrible one.

Retain the current options and filters, add an option for none. Who knows, maybe a few grumpy folk might actually share their stoke if it's under a header they are comfortable with.
