@unfocused; apparently you've touched a nerve on some of the regulars, and or trollers. Take a deep breath, now exhale. Relax, and go back over some of your posts. And remember this, there are a select 'few' here who will ALWAYS give you a thumbs down no matter what you post or comment on. You cannot delete your profile, you can only ignore this site and not come back if you're not happy.

When I first started here, my intention was to share the stoke of my surf sessions with reports, and pictures of where I surfed, and what I thought might be of interest to others here. I was initially welcomed, but later found out that you must tread cautiously until you've been accepted into the pack mentality. However, in the past year or so, this site has turned into much more than what I thought it was originally intended for as it states in the "do's and don'ts." And people have been getting way off track with their hateful attacks, and even unmerited frivolous bashing/schoolyard bullying for nothing. One would think that as 'Adults,' this wouldn't happen. But thus is the nature of the Internet, and anonymity hiding behind avatars.

There is a pecking order here, and that is obvious. There are also enablers here too that allow some to attack and demean others by giving them thumbs up, when they should be thrown into the wastebasket, and not allowed to, what some define as, "balance" the site. Of which I say is bullshit!

So there you pretty much have it in a nutshell. If I've missed something, I know of whom will chime in and let me know I'm either wrong, or close to what StokeReport was, and should still be about.

This site has become regulated by those of whom frequent it, and not by the Administrator anymore. Anarchy has reared its ugly head here of lately, and there's no end in sight, unless, you, me, and others either ignore the attackers, haters, and trollers, or just simply fade happily and maturely into the abysses of our own sanity. And leave the insane alone.

@sharkturd, I don't know you or anything about you other than what has been exchanged here, and you don't know anything about me, and yet you continue to belittle my "life," with comments like the above? I have a great life, and I have a wonderful home paid for free and clear, that's no mortgage, and a Family that is around me with a new Grandson. And like I keep saying, this site was once a place to share all the stoke it was originally intended for until.

About a year or more ago, John, the site administrator, also know as duckdive, once threatened to shut it down if things didn't cool off because at the time something similar, but not with this severity of contempt for others was going on. However, things did cool off, but, he also made the comment, and I paraphrase, since he didn't have the time to 'police' the comments, he would leave it up to us to regulate the content of the comments simply by voting them down and into the wastebasket. And we have seen how that has been working: some individuals are enabled here, and encouraged to attack and correct others with their pathetic and petty remarks that have absolutely no merit nor basis.

In closing, and saying goodbye too, there should be no merits given individuals on this site for comments liked or disliked, thumbs up or thumbs down. This is not a contest, it is/was a place to share the stoke of surfing, and other related content and materials. It's not a matter of how high one can climb on the acceptance scale, IT'S ABOUT SHARING!

I've not violated any principles, only attempted to call out and expose those of whom always complain, and not disagree as you always seem to liken it too, like yourself, and lie, I do surf, given what I've been dealt in the past 6 years( see pics ), and yes at my age, I'm doing pretty damn well!

We all have our days in the surf, and if memory serves me correct, didn't you too have back surgery? And if so, how's it working for you where surfing is concerned? Any pain, or residual effects from it, like a blown out cervical disc, or degenerative disc disease and the inability to walk or even stand some days without experiencing 24/7 pain that's off the charts and no Rx meds will take it away? And has now turned into scoliosis.

Share the Stoke sharkturd, and compliment others with what you have learned in life through surfing and other journeys down life's paths.
