Man you sure drive fast. Video keeps stopping every 10 seconds once you start putting your booties on ( anybody have the same problem? ). Too instructional, needs some waves/surfing shots. But I gave you a thumbs up for the effort. Gotta start somewhere, and this is where you'll find you're harshest critics. ;D

@piss_shiver: If you do a Ft. Point video, be sure to have the following: arrive in a Humvee, wear body armor, strap on a 9mm, and bring a lawyer along. This was advice I read in Surfer Magazine for those trying to surf, or even take pictures at Lunada Bay in So Cal. I'm still trying to get Chris Wilson's permission to do a still shoot at Ft. Point for my portfolio.

That pizza reminds me when I lived in Hawaii: I worked at a pizza parlor nights, and we would have friends call in fake orders and never pick them up. So we always had free pizza to take home. Thus in the mornings before the dawn patrol it was cold pizza and chocolate milk as a pre surf meal.

I think if there was a little more self deprecation humor it might be a little more entertaining. Some okay tips but u forgot a couple key points, especially when learning at Linda mar:
hold onto board, especially when crowded.
Paddle around break(please get out of the way)
don't forget you're a kook and have some shame. You're only adding problems.

This how-to video is great! I wasn't quite sure where he was going with that plastic bag. But maybe I should put one over my head to get my rash guard on easier. And definitely watch out for surfers with road rage! They're the worst. Right up there with sharks, rip currents and big waves!

It'd be interesting to see how many of the writers on this post actually surf better than this guy. There seems to be quite a bit of internet thuggery going on here, and I seriously doubt many of the posters on this site rip over him. The guy who made the video comes off nerdy, but his intentions are helpful/harmless/good. Yet, there's quite a few people on this post coming off like some of the "real" dickhead locals that everyone casts down on this site.

Have a laugh at it, learn from it, whatever. But don't come off like you're so much better than this guy unless you yourself are the coolest ripper on the planet.
