A Jacksonville Beach surfer has an unofficial new world record tonight. Kurtis Loftus broke the existing Guinness record for hours surfed by three hours with a time of more than 29 hours.
He also shattered the record for number of waves caught with 308. The previous record was 147.
Loftus was surrounded the entire time by members of the local surf community.
