Time to celebrate the passing of the great leader, fashion icon, and comedy legend that was Kim Jong Il. Location is still being confirmed by his dogs in Pyongyang but the early word is it will be right here in San Francisco tomorrow AM at his favorite secret spot you might call 'LivingWoman's'. Bring your finest olive drab wetsuit, some hair product, and the spirit of 혁명적 동지애의 최고화신 will surely bring the waves.

Definitely worth adding in to the hazy location lexicon. A quick check at Shining Star of Paektu Mountain, wasn't really holding up, decided to make a run for the Bright Sun of Juche, only to find flabby shoulders, settled on Guiding Sun Ray. Tossed back some Hennessey, let it rain some super 100's in the lot to slow down the crowds, consulted with our kidnapped surf experts before they escaped with our giant rabbits, took out a bunch of bike thieves with our pointy platform shoes, caught 863 waves before it turned off, none for you.

Kim Jong Il deserves nothing less than a WaveJet armada paddle out, each board decorated with his favorite Disney characters.

if i were someoneone who grew up & learned to surf in north korea, i would find your making light of the dear leader's passing inappropriate to the extreme. show some respect for the people of north korea. surfers must set the highest example. there may be many secret reefs & points in n. korea. you will want the good will of the people on your side.

From the Great Leader’s official Bio from North Korea:
"Greg Noll, a witness to the event, had this to say:
'Kimbro, as I like to call him, paddled into the greatest wave I’ve ever seen. It was at least 60 feet, Hawaiian scale. He flew down the face of the wave, faded back and pulled into barrel and was then spit out of the green room 400 yards later. What was even more amazing was that he summoned the ocean beforehand to pull off these conditions.’
Asked why there were no photographers were allowed , the Great Leader responded that he wanted to keep his surf location a secret and that he doesn’t have an ego so he wanted to keep it low key.”
