@three53fins, Great video, thanks for the memories!

The pics of young Ben Aipa are classic!

Thanks for the pos feed. Surfing has a history. I thank the gods every time I paddle out on three fins. I'm using an Aipa fin and at big OB it's the shits.

@three53fins, in Makiki, at Piikoi & Wilder in the Spring & Summer, work & surf South Shore, then Haleiwa during the winter for surf only.

Must be careful when I ʻtalk story,ʻ some people donʻt like it.

Really lovinʻ this video. Donʻt understand why others arenʻt

The surfing was futuristic.

The haircuts, well, they weren't.

No doubt Bertlemann was a trend setter and bar raiser. But this particular vid with it's grainyness and unsteady, shakey camera, not to mention the incessant arm flailing, well, it's almost vertigo inducing. Just sayin that might be a few reasons.

Awesome video. Who on earth would down vote that?

Its a good thing Larry is such a good surfer, otherwise he'd be such a spaz...

@Wave Glider, Town and Country. 20 years for me. I can relate to reactions to 'talk story'. Califrisco is soo different.
Take it easy! Shaka!

Thanks for posting, great video. That's not Ben Aipa, nor is it Mike Purpus as stated in the video (ever seen Mike Purpus with a black afro?). It's all Bertleman.

Nice to see something not in HD, GoPro views. I'd like to see today's photographers accomplish the same with this old school technology. Just saying, it's not all about status updates on FB and posting video to You-T. Can't wait to see what kids say about our videos 15 years from now.
