Two guys at [rhymes with goat] saw a board floating out to sea around 11. Just left you a message. Not sure if it's yours or not.

@ jason,
I've got to share this with you. That morning I saw your board (jason) drift back out to sea in the P-land rip. I surfed later on in the middle and never saw your board. I actually didn't want to drop in on it, bc I knew it was drifting out in the line up.

We jumped in at P and the current dragged me to 'goat' in about 30 mins. It was no mans land with gems that were always a bit to far from where I was sitting. Managed to get one big drop.

When I was at 'goat' I saw a broken thruster short board busted in two. I couldn't see a leash, and could see a body attached to the leash, so I figured it was another OB board fatality. The board was on the outside, drifting in a slower rip pulling it south and out. I about this time I was dodging rouge peaks.

In that one morning, I witnessed OB Break and Take two boards.

Hopefully they'll end up on an island giving a grom new life.

@uuilly : my wife met your chica later that day at a baby shower - go figure!

Thanks for the sightings. I'm still hoping to get it back. I'm disappointed at the leash plug pulling out like that--waves were fun but not huge. Poor glass job??

yeah. that was so weird when I saw that. I was shocked to see that there were not any perforations or scored surfaces for the leash plug to better adhere to the glass ... that thing was smooth as a babys butt.

Makes me wonder what my guns are glassed with --- and if they will ever pull free and leave me in the lurch ...

I'll keep looking, yah never know ....

@ Jason-

I for sure saw your board, and someone has it! I was trying to determine if my little 6'0 was going to drown me around 9:15AM on Sunday (the answer was a defiant yes btw), when a conversation with two guys changing in front of 'P-check-me-out-o' led to this conclusion. They had three boards, and said the third (which was a blue stretch with plug ripped out) belonged to someone who lost their board earlier. He seemed to know who you were and is looking for you. I'm sure you will find it if you haven't already.

Good luck, and thanks for preventing me from drowning (I consider it all an omen, really).

water sled--do you remember what kind of car they were driving? Still no calls on my end. Thanks for the info.
