Love the great white shark

Jonathan writes: I still get an uneasy feeling when I am swimming in open water. Having been attacked by a great white shark while boogie boarding at Stinson Beach 14 years ago, I understand the respect we must have for these amazing ocean predators.

My fascination with sharks began when I was 16. When the shark slammed into me from below, I felt its tremendous power. Fortunately, the shark let me go - perhaps it was just investigating or maybe it thought I was a seal. I don't blame the shark for what happened. The shark was living in its world. When we are in the ocean, we're in the home of the shark.
