It's hella dark. Dudes are prolly going "Dude, where's my car" at that time. Especially if you light up before you get in the water. An hr or two later, you don't remember where you parked. Yeah I can see that.
I can also see getting on the rip train and being swept about 10solid blocks from where you started. But calling the coasties on a day like today? I wasnt there but all /most accounts were essentially "bring a longboard"
When I go out to surf with Kooktastic, and we don't come in together, usually it's him hiding, ready to pants me, so personally I don't get too afraid. I just feel bad for people that have to witness the pantsing.
