In my last post, 353fins was about to leave the site because he thought this was a serious surfing site, but realized in part thanks to my "very old design" question that it wasn't. Then after seeing WaveGlider's serious surf quiver, changed his mind and decided to stay.
That's like the third or fourth surf brother I have seen threatening to leave the site this month.
I just don't get why anyone would think this forum would be different than any other forum on the internet. There is NOTHING wrong here. It is just like all the other forums I've ever signed up for. There are as many unfiltered, anonymous opinions as there are users. It's like driving, everyone's right and no one is actually standing face to face with a real human being.
It just is this way. Welcome to the internet.
This is however the only forum I've stayed on and read daily. Maybe because I'm mostly just looking at the surf reports, but I also like the fact that it is a little more personal, I know I'm talking to guys who might even live on the same street as me, streets I can't name because they'd be edited out. Another endearing feature of the community driven site. Kind of cool, but it's still just a website.
I wanted to give my unfiltered opinion that everything is fine here. Nothing is wrong. This is how forums all over the world look in every language.
