As a proponent of stokereporters being respectful to locals and the sanctity of their secret breaks, you should not, in the interest of not being a hypocrite, be doing a video report of one of those spots, especially since you are a tourist non-local at these breaks. If you do so, the correct stokereporter etiquitte is to allude to the break indirectly rather than posting its name.

Charge it, K-tastic! It's firing right now! All you have to do is somehow snag the next available slot out of the 60 total on Tavarua/Namotu. On Namotu the island is often rented out by one group, but butter up the group leader with a few shots of kava and you're in. Wait for Saturday, since access on/off the islands only happens on Saturdays. Then take the next supersonic jet - only kooks fly coach and suffer the 10 hour flight over the Pacific. Once there, the only locals are the hired boatmen, so you're good.
It only takes a few thousand dollars. If you take the chopper like Kok instead of the slow-ass panga, you just might catch the same swell you see in the video.

Aside from the blue blue warm water there's a chance that surf was actually better here than in Fiji last week.
Pretty windy most of the day. Kiters were in heaven. Swell not much to write home about. Restaurants at Tavarua and Pools at Namotu were not breaking. Cloudbreak and Wilkes chunky and everchanging. The Namotu left did clean up a few mornings. Nevertheless, were I to post water photos you guys would probably say "Is that all?" ...as well as "You're really skinny and pasty"
But I have been saving my money ( I gave up flying small airplanes for kicks 10 years ago: TCannon would vouch that alone could fund a few dozen surf trips) and the splurge for this destination (and the $150 helo ride) was worth it. Beautiful place, beautiful people.
Life is short. Work hard. Skip those 400 channels of cable. Go on cool surf trips.
