If one of these bad boys showed up, I'm just curious of the general consensus?
This thing is badass for sure on a lake, but I dont see it going over too well anywhere else.

I'd say it'd be cool on a quad overhead day at Ocean Beach when no one else can paddle out, but otherwise, BAN it.
The worst thing about motorized contraptions in the water is the noise. I've shared the lineup with jetskis and they're really annoying, even if they're not taking waves. The noise ruins the communal experience with nature.
Agree with Kooktastic. What's the difference between this and using a waverunner for surfing? Takes all the spirit out of the sport....
We're supposed to ride nature's energy...
The is designed for the potbellied goateed meathead set out at Lake Havasu.
Hey, PowerSki Intl:
(Sorry, SRC, I couldn't resist another FoTC video response.)
OK, so I take one of these out at 4X OH and have a ball. Then the engine stalls or I fall off and all of a sudden it's not so much fun anymore. Can you imagine trying to paddle one of these in when it's out of gas?
Still, it does look like fun.
The overall aesthetic of that video clip is exactly appropriate, and brings to mind the the following analogy: the powerski is to the surfboard as Muse is to music that doesn't make me want to gouge out my eyes.
