@Eduardo420: A reasonable point, but please (pretty please with a cherry on top) can we not reopen this debate. I think I speak for everyone that lived through it the first time (and the second and third). It took us much effort to establish our community guidelines. They are not perfect but this site is a much more stoked place because of them.

In summary, basically, OB is up for grabs but not saying exactly where, along with Linda Mar.
That's mainly what gets reported here.
That's why we came up with them cutesy memes like Location Turtle, and Future Gull.
Take a huge rip, relax, and talk about surfing with nebulous locations. It's better that way rather than getting into the specifics.
Talk specifics with your buds in the lot or via other channels.
The rationale is that some guys did and do put in the homework to find out how and when and where stuff breaks best, so some Internet site offering all that up for free doesn't sound too appealing. That may or may not have ANYTHING to do with ANYTHING but as a matter of sensitivity, that's the route we chose as a community. Am I reading too much into your simple comment "Is there any list of sensitive spots", or did my answer suffice my interpretation of your query?

I don't personally agree with that rule, but I can read and respect the rule since it ain't my site and I enjoy using the site.

That's why I asked, specially because i have just a couple years surfing California , and all this" localism-superultra secret spot thing" is annoying. Specially with the long coast you guys have for enjoy, plenty of waves...

You know why there's exceptions. I'm not going to sit here and defend any of the rules. They're baseless, and personally I play nice.
However, certain spots have people there that WILL make your day bad if you fuck up. You know where they are. Fucking up entails a lot of things, and apparently includes talking about it on a public forum. Don't ask me why, how whatever. I dunno. I go surf and shut up.
You ain't the kind of guy that strikes me as making someone's day bad, and the Bo generally has a welcoming attitude amenable for beginners, hell it's where a lot of us started!
Thanks for pointing out the flaws in the arguments, but today is not logic day, spock. It won't ever be :(

Wave glider, love you man. But you posted on a Bo Report right after this. Said you'd bring your camera. But you also want it restricted? Kinda confusing. I don't think there are that many SR folks that go to the Bo. A handful here and there, but not enough to make a huge diff in crowd. Of course that could be said about other places. Good healing. Hopefully, you can get in sooner than later. There are sooo many fantastic places up where you are at. Lived in West Sonoma County for 10 years and i miss it. Peace!

I think I'm on record as believing the spot determines the crowd. But really, Bolinas? I've been skunked there numerous times before the reports were up AND now that the reports are up. Somehow I doubt my dream report of "Bolinas is dealing consistent, slightly overhead lines from outside through the inside section looking much like Sunset Cliffs" is every going to appear on the 2mile report. Short of that kind of change, nothing is going to make me want to surf there other than, "I feel like longboarding today."

Oh, just don't report about the occasional free spirited visitors during the warmer months. THAT sort of news would cause problems.

Where does Bad Vibes Hal anyway surfed 5 guy and no one round for miles - see then like gulls frigates cops da boys all just running around with boards throwing a fit and puking too. Just sayin that outside guys like some of us are a little miffed outside when we arrive with ipads picturing surf spots only dreamed before. Most understand boy when otherwise i've seen things go down unmentionable to mothers or girl surfers in the lineup. Nice. See you soon.

Sadly, part of the reason I don't post here often is because I'm always worried about pissing someone off when it comes to reports. It's also annoying having your comments converted to "#####" when you write words like "rocky", which apparently SR's algorithms think may reference a specific location and not simply an adjective to describe local geography. Anyways, I'll deal since I like reading the commentary here and I would like to meet most of the SR community, it's just that it would be cool if there wasn't such a stigma around putting up conditions and photos.

@bluefish: The "rocky" issue was a simple bug that I fixed a couple of weeks ago. A regex fat finger. Regarding the ##### censorship in general, I reached out to the community to make sure that the overall consensus was positive on that. The rules / systems that we've put in place over the years certainly aren't perfect, but they are the reason that the site is still up and running.
