I have a friend — I’m going to call him “Stan” since that rhymes with Dan — who has three goals in surfing:
1.) To surf a 15-foot wave.
2.) To surf at night.
3.) To surf naked.
Now, me? I’m not really cool with any of these.

night surfing is awesome. i have done this many times back east. mainly on the outer banks, in the summer, under a full moon.
with a few friends it is an unforgettable experience.
I'll have to agree with the night surfing. I've had many full moon sessions near the piers in So Cal. They are a blast if the conditions are right. Not too big not too small. I don't think I would attempt it at OB when it is OH.
I've done all 3 and #2 and #3 on the list are easily accomplished at the same time!
I've done the night surfing in southern marin. we positioned our car to shine the headlights towards the break. which made weird shadows and I found slightly night of the living dead. an unforgettable experience for sure.
Done #2 & #3 (at same time) in Baja a few years back. Fullmoon sesh 2-3ft on logs. Total blast! Will I do it again? Nope!
