One of the Most Unsurfable Waves Ever?

This makes me laugh my ass off. I know it's old (from January 2008), but it's a classic. Two body boarders from Penzance, Cornwall kicking into a winter storm wave, producing supposedly 40-50' "faces".

To me, this doesn't look like a wave, it looks like someone detonated about 500 pounds of C-4 in the water behind them. I'm not really sure what they were thinking, but kudos to them for trying.

Why does the second picture remind me of a frog in a blender?

In case you are concerned, they were both unharmed and completely stoked by the experience. Go figure.
