This contest was one of, if not the best ever. Came right down to seconds in the finals when John John Florence got a combo 19.93 points to win it, which included a 9.93 and a perfect 10!

Word! ...was watching at work with sound off and looked away when JOB came in with 4min left and had the field combod... wtf, he looked about as confused as I was when the buzzer blew. looked for the final replay but not up yet.

What do you guys think, is it better to be goofy so you can face the wave (like my skilled avatar) or does holding a rail actually make surfing waves like this easier? I'm not that good at the rail grab so don't really know...
