Casey writes: I was tasked with addressing some feminist issues in this review of Nike 6.0′s all-girls surf film, Leave a Message, but I have to confess, I am probably the worst person Zach could have asked. I know guys who follow the women’s circuit better than I do. I watch every webcast, but when they switch to women’s coverage, I always find myself tuning out. I’m sorry if that sounds horrible. Anyway, while I’m sure there are heaps of feminist issues connected, however vaguely, with this film… I’m not sure exactly what they are. But I am not one to shrink from a challenge, so I’ll give you my not-so-adamantly-feminist take on this chick surf flick.
