I actually like that guy because he takes off behind the rocks and threads the needle pretty damn good.
Wonder if we'll start getting Slater sightings. Makes sense - strong incentive to close the deal and a tricky lineup to learn. Just don't burn me Kelly!
with the Peniche constest over so early, I am sure we will start seeing the super stars in the line-up .. it takes time to learn to read OB, and sure they are going to try to get their time in the water -- I've been surfing here for almost 5 yrs, and still don't read well the line-up!
so there we all are paddling out hoping for a star sighting...
I'm betting on kooks (like me) in the OB lineup big time the next few weeks...

Was out at Rincon in 95' or 96' and Slater was out and it was pretty cool to paddle over the shoulder as he was ripping by at amazing speeds spraying buckets at you. Its different than watching from the beach........
I surfed with Warchild in inconsistent 1-2 Malibu once. No one seemed to notice.
This will be different.
