PM text from a bro going into LAX from HNL.
Nice wrapage! Free SUP tarp surfing lessons, then coffee at Donut Time after (fuhget Gmac) courtesy of Vinod if you can guess this location.
It'd be a shame to give away this relatively uncrowded gem... initials PD.
Ha ha, I surfed there once in '84! Jumped fences, ran through yards etc. Good times.
why does everything need to be named?just enjoy-
exactly fin...but this is America and the trickle-down theory is sacred. Everything must be named, cataloged, and recorded for full exploitation and profit by the surf-industrial-complex. (just kidding, sort of). My intention was just for fun...to see how far-off some guesses could be. Those who know the locale can be content in their knowledge, and those that don't know..still don't...but can keep on guessing.
Surfed there twice back in the day, we were sent packing by the locals the second time!
oh dear god please let it be lindamar. did i win?
A video was recently posted of this spots overcrowded conditions.
This is dum, what's the point.
Malibu. Game over.
Waveglider and danimal not quite. Hint:
Jim Rockford: [answering machine picks up] This is Jim Rockford. At the tone leave your name and message, I'll get back to you.
Angel Martin: Jimmy, old buddy buddy! It's Angel! You know how they allow you one phone call? Well, this is it.
Ahh c'mon wavecraver, don't be a pooper. Take a stab. Were talkin chill time with Vinod here! Did I mention there will be a consolation prize of lunch with Vinod's cous, Abu, at his quickie mart, for the most uninspired guess?
@King, Rockford's trailer was at Paradise Cove, south of Dume Cove aka Malibu where the pic in question is of.
BTW, Google Earth side by side with the pic is invaluable, and shows it all.
Never surfed there, but stood at the arched entrance taking pics and listening to all the chit chat.
"The name is 'Dumas'!"
This thread was "dumed" from the get-go.
I like Kooks Catalina; never knew there were so many houses on it. But alas this is dumed from the get go as Capra points out.
I was trying to be clever sharkturd. dum+e + point = point dume
"I was trying to be clever" Ah-so mistah craver san....and so you are! My bad. Vinod wants to know how you will take your small coffee...says he ain't springing for no large. Vinod the tightwad has to save some coin for his Martin's legal team. And Kook...you get to explore the culinary delights of Quickie Mart.....Catalina?
please... nothing is sectret about those place for those that have surfed North LA Co. You basically need a key to get in, it's localized and it ain't gonna change beacuse of a pic and some chatter on this blog!
very funny, the dude with the blonde hair-bun makes a video of himself at a "spot he can't say" and then posts to youtube an ugly immitation of Chubby Checker doing the twist on a surfboard. Oh lawdy lawdy! He should really do something about those arm flails too...THAT is a Malibu trust fund baby if I've ever seen one.
Any unfocused sightings yet?? Getting kinda bored!
Isn't Pt. Doomed slightly out of the way for a HNL / LAX flight? Was the plane hijacked by Allen Sarlo?
@waggy, not unless the flight had a stopover in San Diego, and or the flight required them to circle and come in on a westerly pattern.
If memory serves me correct, most inbound LAX flights land east to west depending on weather conditions.
BTW, the distance is approx 27 miles from Pt. "Doomed" to LAX, not as the crow / plane flies though.
Actual inbound track. I agree, an unusual approach.
Way to go King, now you've done it! You've gone and exposed several secret smaller airports( the white lines )! Is nothing secret anymore?!
Aero N6203X out
I love white lines
Every silver linings got a...touch of grey
