Rant - Somewhere not listed up north . . .

However, it's well know to the tourists, and the locals who frequent there daily, especially "The Birds."

Heading out from an 85 + degree sunny day in town, 25 miles north west it became apparent we should have brought along our warmer gear. Accordingly, last weeks initial pulse proved to be to much for many open locations so said the locals, and was closed out. But it did eventually clean up this week to be rideable with glassy conditions, but rather foggy. Size in the 4' to 6' range and consistent.

The first pics is through the fog from the cliff, the second cleaned up and more discernible. And of course the third, the scavenger waiting for its meals.

@Blah, blah, blah! No Pinot! We used to stop at the Sandpiper, but they've become over touristy during 'the season,' so now it's the deli next to Bodega Bay Surf Shack for a big liverwurst on sourdough with swiss smothered in mustard sandwich with a cold IPA.

@WG- camera question: were you close to that bird or are you shooting with a telephoto lense? nice pic. i like how the close up isolates the bird from the back drop. post more pics. hope you got surf today

@uf, "that bird" was about 20 yds away and I was using a 70-200mm f 2.8.

What happened to the first two pics?
