This thread started out really good. I was actually looking forward to meeting some other surfers in the area, and having a nice time. after reading all this crap, i'm wondering if anybody should even bother to show up. sounds like i might as well visit a kindergarten playground, with the vitriolic nonsense being spewed on here. what a bunch of bullshit.

Futuresparky, what's sad is there was a time you could say "hay lets have a bbq" and that would be an honest idea with friendly folks who'd show up and share food + stories. Sigh. I miss stokereport.

I actually made it to the beach (going with the loose 'in front of wise at 4pm') and walked up and down for some time. Looked like some pretty nice waves out there in spite of the wind but no stokereporters that I could identify. Talked to a number of random people that I thought might be there for the same reasons but no luck. Thumbs up to the surfers out there at the time. Some nice fast rides, cut-backs and airs...
