Santa Cruz has long been a hot spot for surfing artists and innovators, eclectic individuals whose passion for the sport inspires them to create new ways to see, feel, understand, appreciate, enjoy and even reimagine the stoke of surfing.
For the next four months, many of those artists will be able to spread that stoke through a surfing-centric art exhibit at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History.
Beginning March 27 and running until July 25, the museum-wide exhibit will celebrate Santa Cruz as the true "Surf City USA." Entitled "Surf City Santa Cruz -- A Wave of Inspiration," it will showcase an extensive collection of surf-related art by local shapers, photographers, filmers, sculptors and technical innovators.
