Surfing the Tidal Bore on the Amazon River

Since we seem to be on the topic of weird surfing activity. How about this? Tidal bore surfing on the Amazon river. Supposedly pretty dangerous due to the debris in the water.

Wikipedia says about tidal bores "Bores occur in relatively few locations worldwide, usually in areas with a large tidal range (typically more than 20 feet (6 m) between high and low water), and where incoming tides are funneled into a shallow, narrowing river via a broad bay": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tidal_bore

Check out the video, the wave looks a solid 2-3 feet overhead :)
