It’s been said* that roughly 85 percent of all surfers own an acoustic guitar.

Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration. But look at how many surfers play guitar: Kelly Slater, Jack Johnson, Rob Machado, Donovan Frankenreiter, Daize Shayne. I could go on, but frankly, I can’t think of any more.

In general, the guitar is our ubiquitous indication that we exist, like today's plethora of pottery pieces found from ancient cultures. Our distant future ancestors will unearth all the stratocasters and piece them together and perhaps muse on how we once rocked out.
