You can find Tim Stamps' perspective on shaping surfboards in "Soundings" in the current issue of TSJ. Mentored by Seal Beach's Rich Harbour, he's well educated, and talented when it comes to both riding and building surfboards. This is his world, tucked away in the randomness that is Westminster's "shaping ghetto."

Saw this the other day, and Tim is still shaping for Rich at Harbour surfboards too, because 50 years in the shaping room has taken its toll on Rich. He, Rich Harbour, is having shoulder replacement surgery this month.
Shaping boards does take its toll on the body. But as many shapers say, "it's a labor of love."

@uf, you called it. Never could figure out why. Maybe sitting at the office 'not' doing what is required of their job description.
Got my thumbs up no matter how short the comment, especially when it's the truth.
