Would you settle for just a little crooked? We could give you an oar to help straighten things out...

Surfer #1: What's more fun than ripping SUPers?
Surfer #2: I dunno. What?
Surfer #1 (screams at the top of his lungs): NOTHING!!

I think Pete's comment just earned him one extra report [reporter?] for ###### or ######'s. I'll probably wait until the rains have passed a bit to redeem this freebie, just to be sure that those fairer-weather surfers (ie those who would rather not risk getting pink-eye from the water) will be sure to rally to the post.

The SUP getting towed is already pretty stupid, but I dunno... the site of the water being filled with jet skis dragging dudes around is kinda disheartening in and of itself, especially in light of that farking fabulous post of the paddle session at that big left-hander in Hawaii that just got posted.

I guess it proves that any yutz can have a friend on a jetski tow him in.
For a while, I associated those things with being a Big-Time Surfer. No more!
This video might be the spark which brings on the barefoot Alaia revolution.
I've prepared a very small speech in honor of the responses....
Fellow stoke reporters lend me your ears, and open your heart to the following words....
The *OARSMEN* are our friends...distant clansmen that broke off from the surfing tree ages ago, to go their own way, on their own terms.
The *OARSMEN* are good folk, kind folk, gentle folk even, on the longplank. Look into their eyes deeply as you watch them employ their implements easily to get into the waves early and often. They are no different than us. We have the same goals, the same aspirations. We laugh the same, cry the same, and we nearly ride the same. Do not forsake this lineage of the surfing man(tm) because he wears a different coat-of-arms, and yields a different weapon. When it is big, he too shares some of the same duress, if not more. He is your friend, he is your brother, he is.....THE OARSMAN!
