Rant - Traction pad

My traction pad is peeling up does anyone know how to deal with this? Aqua-seal or maybe crazy glue?

what's a traction pad?

It sounds wrong, but crazy glue works like a charm and holds up well.

Related question... If your traction pad has already escaped to soil the ocean floor, do you have a good suggestion for removing the remaining glue prior to putting on a new traction pad?

Thanks for the crazy glue advice.

@King of Kooks, a traction pad is a revolutionary way to sell cheap colored foam for $30 a pop!

For us kooks, it offers tactile confirmation that your back foot is where it's supposed to be. :)

sticker: acetone for dissolving glue but you practically have to immerse, or cover long enough for it to do its solvent-thing on the glue. if there are just little bits all over try laying down some really sticky tape and ripping it up fast.

ps. don't do the sticky tape thing if you have delams on the deck already!

Thanks, @fxct. I'm kind of in a bind b/c only parts of the traction pad have come up. The other parts are still there, which means I'd have to be really careful w/the acetone if I were to use it, otherwise, the good parts of the traction pad would come up w/the bad. My solution thus far is to just let my boards look all ghetto.

oh. well in that case, lay some spray paint on the bottom, stink-eye everyone, and start saying 'bro' a lot, no-one will notice.
