Its the ocean for cryin' out loud. Yea there are a ton of people clogging up the swells. Yea it closes out majority of the time on a low tide, and yea it sometimes just doesn't justify the drive down from the city. But sweet Lynda you have been so good to me. Endless rides on a good day from the outside all the way to the beach. All the people bickering about just all fade away as I ride your soft shoulders. Big OB is around the corner and when I don't feel like risking my life on 10 ft plus days at ob, i'll be driving down to your cold blue waters soon. So thank you Little Lynda Marr cove for being there to chill the big swells down. Lets log it up and thrust her around remember everybody, the ocean is our playground.
we have all hated on Lynda Marr but...

Nice, max. Yes, LM is an easy mark. But it certainly does have way more surfable days than it's more northerly big city brother. And as pretty as this pic is, I had to laugh at the typical, perhaps even iconic, long walled close-out ready to fold in the foreground. BTW max, if you're going to praise her, at least spell her name correctly...you owe her as much.

I just finished up college on the Eastern shore of Oahu. Life was pretty gnarly. I did the 6 year plan. For all the shit I talk on Lindy, a lot of my friends got jobs in landlocked places. Im cool with Lindy.

@st, so you do surf, at least an internal part of you that is, or was ; )
I think the more appropriate term would be, BUTT "seeing is believing." LOL!

I lived in the Bay Area for 7 years, surfed LM and OB and all else. I had some spots I preferred over others, and LM certainly wasn't at the top of my list. Anyway, now live a 5 hour drive from the nearest break, so I'd take LM on any day

I JUST surfed Lindy and the entire time I was out I kept thinking...'what the hell did I paddle out for'. Today was all about closeouts. Not much to ride at all. Lindy sucks. I've had it good a handful of times in 13 years. But yet, I keep trying. Maybe it's me that sucks.

Clouseout??? You guys just need to work on your speed-pumps ;-)
Lindy taught me how to hone my closeout barrel-riding technique.

Surfed it at noon and although it was a day where shoulders were hard to find; the crowd was small, the water was blue, the wind was light to offshore at times, the paddle back out was easy and there were enough gems to make you think one could be yours. I liked it.

There's a reason Lindy rhymes with Lagundri. Both rock. Everyone should surf Lindy between now and March. Especially on clean offshore days.

I'm going to start surfing Linda Mar soon and what I want to know is where can I get a rash guard to wear over my wetsuit that has kook in big block letters on it, front and back.
