No such thing as June gloom. You take what you can get. I took my dog out to the cove just now and saw a few dudes having some fun. One guy on this green board pulled a reverse even in that slop. Another guy on a swirly green fish painting some steep faces. The dudes made lemonade from them lemons. I don't know what you're doing but if you're not surfing even when it's not that great, you're doing it wrong! Now get out there, and don't tell me about no onshore howling winds, foggy fog, kiters delight junkswell and June gloom. If it's not whitecapping, you can still do something.

Strongly agree. I just got back from OB actually, somewhere down in the Conquistadores. There were rides to be had. Also, Great Highway was shut down southbound so I got to salmon the surfbike in the empty lanes on my way home, which provided a neat view :)

its one thing to post a video about "learning to surf" in northern california. now you gotta go and walk your dog down by our cove? who are you, piss_shiver? where are you from? and why do you have no respect for our community?

Weekend surf prognosis:
Enjoy a south Korean victory in the early AM.
Surf junky-but-surprising fun sloppy waves at your local beach.
Head downtown for the gayest gigantic block party of all time.

It's weekend, try to find a good wave, time to explore
Definately south swell will hit Santa Cruz
beach breaks on Sunday morning with the low tide will work fun but small with clean peaky waves, go find your own shoulder for breakfast!

Caught some awesome waves at ##### the same day you posted this. There is something to surf in Nor Cal almost every day if you just want to have some fun. You just need to find your spot and get there.
